Beginning in June of 2016, Saratoga Rowing Assoc. will be offering an elite residential training program to a select group of athletes with National Team ambitions.  Selected athletes will be offered the opportunity to live and train in Saratoga rent free with the goal of elite development and eventually representing their country internationally.
We hope to select athletes with evidence of strong physical and performance metrics already in place, with the potential to develop further into elite level competitors.  Conversations with USRowing have highlighted that many DII and DIII athletes can be overlooked in selection processes as limited training volume has not permitted elite fitness to develop.  For this reason, the ARION program is not only looking for high potential DI athletes, but also for high potential DII and DIII athletes.
Do you have any athletes with a growth mindset who, given the opportunity to train full time for a few years, could compete at an elite level?  The ARION program will be accepting 4-6 full time athletes this year.  More information on the ARION Program at SRA can be found HERE.
Additionally, as elite training takes root in Saratoga Springs, we are pleased to offer a U23 summer development program for women.  This program is designed to help your athletes take the next step in their growth and put them in the best position to be impact players for your team, and hopefully excite them to continue training and pursue elite level rowing post graduation.
Do you have any athletes who you are counting on becoming the next great leader in your program and helping your program take a step forward next year?  The ARION U23 Women's Summer Development program is open to 12 athletes this summer from June 13th to Aug 7th.  More information about the ARION U23 Women's Program can be found HERE.
